Taming Wild Caught Pictus Gecko

Has anyone had luck taming a wild caught Pictus Gecko?

I purchased the little guy at a petsmart about 20 days ago and he still seems very skittish. I haven't done much except leave my hand in the tank and let him explore it. He sits there and the slightest movement he'll run into hiding.

I'm just curious if anyone has had any success taming a wild caught pictus gecko, if not then I'll probably just give up and watch him in his environment instead of adding more stress :].

20 days isn't much to get settled in. Give him time. Can you describe his setup? Often if its too small/not enough cover they don't settle down.

Thanks for the reply^^ he's got a low height 10 gallon tank, I read that they are bottom dwellers and it'd be hazardous for him to have a high rise tank. I have imitation foliage with slate tiling and all the necessary hide boxes and what not. I did catch him the other day hanging upside down on the top screen I hear this means he's comfortable with his surroundings?

No it means he is looking for a way out. And if it is there he will find it.

also~ pretty sure there is no way for him to escape the terrarium has a secure top... haha.
