I Think I Have a Pregnant Female Palm Gecko!

I am looking after 2 palm geckos.

I’ve been waiting for them to breed for a long time now. Recently I saw the female on the glass and when I got close enough to see her tummy, I’m almost certain I saw some eggs.

My question is, how am I supposed to look after the eggs when she lays?

I have an incubator but I literally don’t know anything as these aren’t my geckos and I haven’t had much, if any, experience with them before.

I'm not on the net much at the moment so if anyone had any info, temps times, ect., I would really appreciate it! I’d love to successfully hatch the babies!

Please email me. My addy is:

Thank you!

Re: I Think I Have a Pregnant Femail Palm Gecko!!!

Does this gecko have a white line down the side of it's neck? The reason I am asking is that the Palm Gecko is also known as the White Lined Gecko or Skunk Gecko. If is the White Lined gecko it will lay its eggs on the plants or the side of the enclosure. They do not bury there eggs like other lizards. As for incubation, just maintain the humidity and temperature that would keep the geckos healthy.

Please do not put personal email information in open posts. It opens you up to spammers and other vermin!

Also sending information by email defeats the idea behind a forum where everyone can share information and all may benefit from it.
And if someone gives you bad advice then others can correct t.

Re: I Think I Have a Pregnant Femail Palm Gecko!!!

I know of Gecko vittaus but haven't really looked into them much. From what I do know the eggs can be incubated at 23-29C and about 60% humidity. Though they should never come in contact with water so must be placed on dry sand or a 2:1 perlite:water mix.
