Welcome to the neighborhood! You know how to start out! (with pictures)
Is that sand you have your gecko on?

Re: Hi, Newbie Here with a Golden Gecko.
Yeah, i use calci-sand for the bottom of his tank. I started off with wood chips but I didn't like the idea of it.

Re: Hi, Newbie Here with a Golden Gecko.
Throw it out.... Calci-sand is no good. If you really must have sand then get clean dust free play sand. Even better would be to use something different. If you want something that is more natural then go for slate or tile. If you do decide to stick with the sand you probably want to feed outside of the tank...

Re: Hi, Newbie Here with a Golden Gecko.
The thing is that sand holds no moisture and humidity. So the sand really is for your preference and not the geckos needs. Id suggest that you switch it to Bed a Beast. It comes in a brick for about 4 bucks. Soak it in warm water and it expands. Then you can layer it in the bottom of the cage.
Shell this isn't a leo, its a golden gecko.
