Re: Finished My Geckos' New Enclosure
Thanks, I do like repticarpet, but I do like to keep my enclosures as "natural" as possible without jepordizing the animals health, eco earth is digestable, so its become my "go to" substrate for most tanks. Urorex, have you seen the brown repticarpet? i think it looks pretty nice.

i prefer the coco-husk too. it does a really good job of keeping up humidity.

Re: Finished My Geckos' New Enclosure
from what I know leopard geckos are desert animals so high humity isnt good from what I could tell. outside of that I have not seen the brown repticarpet but will deff look into it. Also my background I got just cause it looked good. however my gecko has climbed it many times so I assume he likes it. also I need a name for this gecko. he is a male so any suggestions would be great. i have ruled out spot or gexx already. here is pic

That would be correct, but this enclosure isn't for a Leo, but something that needs higher humidity.

Re: Finished My Geckos' New Enclosure
well, somewhat humid, i usualy shoot for about 40%-60%. I just added live plants today, hopefully i'll get a few new photo's with them in, but they may maintain a bit more humidity.

Re: Finished My Geckos' New Enclosure
The tank with added live plants, i used a more desertlike warm, lower water tolerant plant on the hot sife, and two somewhat more tropical, moderate light, moderate water plant for the other side.

Re: Finished My Geckos' New Enclosure
Just Reposting the pictures of the tank, had some photobucket trouble.
also posting the only decent picture i've managed to get of the little guy, he tends to get a bit lost in his cage. makes snapping photos of him...tricky, but hey, he seems to love it, so i'm not complaining.

Re: Finished My Geckos' New Enclosure
Thanks.
Actualy, I started and Finished most of it in one night, but I had spent a few days beforehand getting everything together, the tank, making sure I had enough substrate, picking out the decorations, then the night I bought the screen lid from work I came home and finished it up, the live plants were added a day or two later.
It really was'nt hard, or too expensive.
