I have a trio in a 20 gallon long on play sand. I would suggest for babies a shoebox tote with paper towel and a screen lid.

Keeping 2 in a 10 gl would be your best bet. When you have more floor space like a 20 gl you can keep 3.

id say 2, maybe 3 but thats pretty cramped. Better to have more room and hides for them though than being stressed and cramped.

I have a few Viper Geckos, and I'm just waiting for eggs. I've been reading about them a lot for a while now, and this is what I have gathered from breeders I have spoken to, and care sheets:

Both males and females can be kept together with no aggression problems. Many breeders keep them in groups of 2.3. A pair can be kept in a 6 qt. container, or larger. Paper towels, sand (just regular washed and sifted play sand), or coco fiber can be used as substrate. A few small hides, one with some moist sand or coco fiber for a humid hide/lay box. Keep a portion of the enclosure on a heat pad/heat tape. Mist half of the enclosure at night to raise humidity.

I hope this helps a bit. They are a great little species!

Thanks! I sure will. The first day they were with me they had already mated. I was amazed at that!
