looks like a mediterranean gecko to me.
I see the pictures you have of your new unidentified gecko, and I think it looks alot like the house geckos I see around. I believe the actual name for it is the Mediterranean gecko, but people call them house gecko's because they live in your house and eat any invaders.

Mediterranean geckos (Hemidactylus turcicus) are one of many species of house geckos (Genus: Hemidactylus). House geckos are pretty similar to wall geckos and are both known for hanging aroung houses. However, that ain't no mediterranean. They're really common in pet stores, and right here in TX (though their non-native). Here's a pic of one that I've caught here.
![]() Here's a link to some pics of more mediterraneans I've caught here on base: http://photobucket.com/albums/v128/f...ly/goodfellow/ Like many geckos, they tend to change lighter or darker depending on whether its dark or light out.

Wow. That's a tough one. If you ask me though, I think he looks more like a G. grossmani, but its still hard to say. It has a good resemblance to other Gekko species too, besides the 2 you mentioned. If he's a male, count the pre-anal and femoral pores. G. grossmani would only have about 10 or 12, but G. monarchus will have closer to 30.
