When it's warm enough to??? hahaha....Im figuring depending on the weather between March and April sometime....but of course it depends on the weather and if there is snow on the ground......

Welcome to HC,,,,I am originally from upstate N.Y. and garters usually start to show around the end of April,,,,earlier if it's a warm spring, later if it's cold.

thanks. i started to field herp last year in the summer and I caught some garters. my friend said that sometimes there are about 20 snakes on this platform basking in the summer. i cant wait for the weather to start to warm up so I can field herp.
