Any Chiliheads here?
Just wondering if any folks are into chilis? I'm not talking about "El Scortcho" or who can handle a habanero. I'm talking about foods that are enhanced by the addition of chili peppers (fresh, dried or otherwise), for flavor and not just heat.

I love chilis in most things, especially when you combine them with some citrus like orange, lemon or lime for flavor. My friend introduced me to a chicken stew that features canned chilis and lime. Yum.
I've never heard the term chilihead before, though. ![]()

OK, this isn't about the concoctions known as Chili or Chili con Carne. This is about dishes that use CHILI PEPPERS!
You know like moles, curries, South Western food, Mexican Food, Thai Food etc.Craig

ME ME!!!! I LLLLOVE the HEAT!!!!!!!!
Umm specific dishes...I usually just top stuff off because not many people can handle the heat. Love the red thai curry and coconut milk with anything, especially prawns or shrimps..or squash and zucchini. Spicy jerks are a good kick in the face too...now who could resist that Anything with Sriracha. It's sundried so the taste is most unique. Other than the above: Chipotle ranch, Anything with ANCHO!!!!!! (although not hot it's still good), HOT WINGS!!! Korean short ribs, could go on and on, I like anything spicy and I cook...a lot, so I've got a few dishes up the sleeve. |
