We went herping at the same pond yesterday and it started pouring. My dad and me were waiting under a tree and a snapping turtle comes to join us. We saw him and thought we weren't sharing a tree with him. Well here is a pic of him.

I think it's pretty neat that it came that close to you! Maybe its a girl and that she thought you would help her dig a hole to lay her eggs in eh? lol
