We cleaned the inground pool today of course it is filled with frogs and toads pretty common ones at that , how ever this guy caught my eye , you have my word I did not alter this frog in any way it was wild caught just as you see it I have retained it for more photos later . any comments suggestions why it is the color it is?

Ive never seen anything like it either...hes pretty tho!

Possibly the result of exposure to the pool chemicals?
In fact I am surprised that the chemnicals didn't kill it.

after researching it found out that this frog is known to be metallic blue rare but it is there, the pool had a cover that was filled with rain snow melt and leaves , we saved a few thousand tads and spotted sals larva hope they do ok , would die for sure when run thru the water pump any how neat to see a frog like this, Rana clamitans melanota I belive
