Spring Time in the Swamp
The wood frogs have stopped breeding and now the toads get a chance. Below is an American toad calling. He appears to be serenading a stump.
 This critter popped it's up just long enough to take a look around and then disappeared in to the mud. What is it?  Several spotted turtles were out and about, this juvenile seem pretty curious.  One of the more colorful Red-eared sliders in my neck of the woods.  |

hahaha love the toad pic! he's trying
the second pic kind of looks like some sort of turtle poking its head out of the mud but i'm not sure about that. just a guess. thanks for sharing the pic.

nice pics.
hard to say what the 2nd one is without knowing where you live (shame on you for not filling out your profile :P ) but with the pointed nose, it almost looks like a soft shell turtle
