wow where did you find those? They look great! (we just moved and their are 5 ponds near our house, and a tiny creek in the backyard cant wait for it to stop raining!) congrads on the salamanders!

aww...thier so cute.
i'll have to goto the local huge park and see if I can find some.
speaking of finding things, i took my salcutta out and put him in the pen and found that one of my box turtles had woken up from its hibornation.

we just came in from a night walk around our very small pond, we found 15 of the large spotted sals and two green frogs, we could not sneak up on any peepers my daughter was laughing to loud at the spotted sals , the largest one was close to 11 inches what wonder to see

Ambystoma maculatum, I presume? Nice find! Are you keeping them or returning them to the wild? I often find myself wanting to keep unusual specimens that I find, then return them to the wild. I tend specialise more in the reptiles, but I have always liked salamanders.
