I haven't been on the hunt for lizzies/froggers for about 10 years now, but I went tonight. I went hunting with a friend because we have rattlers, bobcats and mountain lions where I live in the Sierra foothills. After about 45min of nothing and heading back (unfortunatly my friend moved back home and now has a curfew because of his dogs) we came across the largest millipede I have seen in the wild. Its coloring are a bit of a loss to me as I'm colorblind, but if I had to guess I would say brown or gray with red or green bands it measures about 5" long. A few minutes later we found another and now they are both in a 10 gal aquarium until my paychecks come in the mail. I'm looking forward to my roomate's little sis who is staying with us (shes 17) sees them... hehe let the screaming begin. I'll post pictures when my camera is filled up.

What a tease! You can't tell us you found something really cool and not post pictures with it! Shame on you! hee hee, you will only be forgiven when we see pictures!

I was rather skilled in my youth in a small 1/4 mile sq area near the same friend who went with me's house I managed to catch over a dozen alligator lizards. I used our dog run which I modified to recreate Jurrassic Park to house them. Good thing my dog never wanted to leave our deck (boy I miss him). Only 20 shots left on the camera, hopefully I get my paychecks today so I can get a bunch of work on my enclosure done and develop my film.
