I went out to my moms cousins house for a family reunion out in the sticks, and I came across a ribbon snake in the woods, at least a few hundred yards from the nearest wetland (they own like 14 acres),
wasnt able to catch it but I did get musked pretty good
Its the second wild snake I ever found, and the first one was a brown snake I found when I was 10 or 11 in Detroit
I also saw 2 female turkeys, and about 6 green frogs in a rain puddle (which would help explain the ribbon snake since it was only about 20 feet away).

yeah it was really cool, i really wish I could of caught it, but it disappeared into a patch of poison ivy , and I was in shorts
they are becoming pretty uncommon and isolated in Michigan do to heavy wetland destruction

I am getting a ribbion snake for Christmas. I used to have one but it got lose in the house.

Ribbons (and snakes in general)are good at that!
