well I slept in so I didnt see much
a frog
a water snake and some big spiders, anyone know wjat kind of spider that is the pictures close to accurate size
the snake seemed to have a tasty fish in his belly

Nice pics. I know what you mean about sleeping in and missing everything.
I think that might be a wolf spider, just a guess.

awesome! i've been out about three times this summer with my camera, and the only thing that I can seem to find is a few plants and ants *sigh*. but good job!

Whoa mama!  big spider! I once witnessed a water snake having a bluegill for lunch... really cool!!!

lol and that was the smaller spider, i suspect a small bluegill of sunny is what that snake has in its belly

That's a fishing spider, though I can't narrow down the species unless I saw the abdomen a bit better. If it had some spots on the abdomen at all, its most likely a six-spotted fishing spider (Dolomedus triton). Fishers are very similar in appearance to huntsman spiders (Heteropoda venatoria). Considering where you saw it, I'm going with the fisher.

I caught a water snake a few weeks ago. A northern. Man, are they aggressive and THEY STINK! That smell lingered with me all day.
