Most Recent Trip Pics...
well as some of you might know I have been away again as usual on another herping research mission. Was looking for 2 different historic populations of 2 different snake species... more info on the work will follow in time. Made real good progress, will just have to wait for winter to end...argh! haha winter here right now but still a few herps around...
this time I will do somthing different and post the other side of the herping missions...behind the scenes if u will... the other animals etc. was mostly in swaziland and mozambique...also a section in south africa. ok some herps to get them out the way...lol black mambas: ![]() ![]() ![]() messing around with a nile croc...was pulling with all my strength!!: ![]() a sleeping flapneck..until my flash woke her up. this I show you find them at night: ![]() ![]() the sketchiest ferry in the world in my book...was so dodgy, we needed to cross this river, the "non-existent" roads on the other side were worse! A nice deserted beach was a bit of reward on the other side: ![]() ![]() ok a baboon waiting for sunrise, giraffes in the road and some elephants: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() then a small pride of lions by a river...notice hippos in the background: ![]() ![]() some more lions that were in the road: ![]() ![]() ![]() the cutest thing I have ever seen, baby spotted hyena cubs!: ![]() then some randoms: ![]() ![]() |

Re: Most Recent Trip Pics...
Dev you always make me sooooo jealous!
Lucky dog you! The walking stick looks like what we have around here. Looks like the croc is winning the tug of war! Oh by the way whatever happened with the article you were going to have in Reptiles magazine?

Re: Most Recent Trip Pics...
The croc picture is definitely my favorite.
You really need to clean your sensor, look at the sky on your deserted beach picture. (Which by the way is my favorite from an artistic standpoint)

Re: Most Recent Trip Pics...
Awesome Dev, thanks for sharing those. I know it's probably not ideal living conditions on those research trips. But still you make it look totally cool.

As usual, I'm totally jealous, Devon, but your photos are amazing. That's one complacent croc, for sure. You think he even felt you tugging on his tail?
