Not Exactly Field Herping...

...since the herp came into my field......but he did get the dogs worked up. There are a couple of ponds across the road and swamplands behind us...so this guy had plans and decided to use our driveway as a shortcut.

Re: Not Exactly Field Herping...

The dogs look really interested, and I guess it's field herping still, even if they come to you.

Re: Not Exactly Field Herping...

Good thing the dogs didn't get hurt. lol I'd be more worried about them than the snapper. I've got a snapper that comes up to my yard every spring and lays eggs; I've caught a couple of her babies too. They're so tiny.

Re: Not Exactly Field Herping...

The dogs are quick around here.... They have to be. Living in the stix like we do we have venomous snakes and large turtles to worry about and they've seen plenty running though the woods I'm sure. I know they've seen those things even right just around our house.
