So I went to check everything out. The main pool of stagnant water was for the most part EMPTY of tadpoles. There were about a dozen very large ones. Maryland got close to 6" of rain in a 36 hour period and I'm guessing it could have been enough to wash a lot of them down stream. They also could have been eaten by various animals as they were growing. I did find a pool with brand new baby tads, same as the last ones. There were a few slightly larger ones in this same pool as well.
