Well I went with another two herpers last week to go look for a very elusive and rarley seen tiny elapid. ( I am sure you guys know what an elapid is). To make things a little harder, they are a very small fossorial snake. It is not often that you go out with a target species in mind that is rare and find them.
We got 2! There is some venom research about to be done on these little known snakes. The ones we found are a striped phase of it. Thought you guys might find it interesting. We also found a bunch of other snakes. It was an amazing day and so short! We started a 2pm and only herped till sunset.
