Alligators versus the Elderly
Being a carpenter that does restoration work in Florida, I travel all over the state. As Florida is a retirement haven, there are tons of retirement "villages" with golf courses (complete with alligator packed ponds). Right now, I'm working at a place called "The Villages" that was devastated by a tornado a few months back. Every day, I drive along and see alligators sunning themselves at the water's edge, sometimes right on the fairway. I'll have to get some pics for you guys. Some of these gators are quite large.. and I think some are being fed... Florida's elderly and alligator populations are both booming and they're both spending 3/4 of their time on the golf courses. I foresee problems in the not so distant future.
