Do you still have her? It's a shame they're there, but if you kept her I must admit that's not a bad ending for the snake. It's better she exists in captivity than as an introduced species in the 'glades, and it sure beats being euthanized too! I guess if you didn't keep her, she still lived at least. Or if she was euthanized, at least she's not perpetuating the species there. I'm trying to illustrate the upside to whatever situation may have unfolded

Very small pic. I'll have to take your word that it's a snake.LOL. I came across a reptile rescuer that catches Igs from florida and adopts them out for breeding I believe. I don't think they'd make good pets.

Hello,
I was wondering the same thing as Matt. lol Did you end up keeping her? How was her disposition when you found her? Great picture now that it is enlarged.

Thanks for the pictures and for being concerned enough about the snake to take her off the road.

Yes we kept her and we go to the area twice a year a rescue as many as possible. we do not take them from Na't park because of legal reasons. Here is a spiny that we also caught off key biscayne and kept.
Sorry about the size but I don't know how to make it bigger....

So is it my understanding that you cannot even remove an introduced exotic species from the park?
Seem like that would be an excellent way to get rid Of some of them!
