Rat breeding age/size...

Hi, what size/age do RATS start breeding?

I just witnessed the two MICE that I am fattening up do the sex act, and the RAT shop in town (only one) is going out of business this month. I think I will get some and try to breed. What size/age do RATS (not mice) start breeding?

i'd say about eight weeks aswell. and like mice, rats can mate and become pregnant again on the day they give birth.

also, if a female rat doesen't breed withen 6 months of being born, it wont be able to breed at all. thier pelvis will fuse shut.
