Fasting?

Ajaxx My Ballpython is a pain in my rump. I dont understand what his deal is, for a ball he is rather grouchy all the time and takes about a 45 mins for him to relax and decide he isnt going to strike once I take him out of his tank.

Any way the real purpose of this thread is Ajaxx tends to be a rather picky feeder... not what he eats... but rather when he eats.. I try and feed him once a week on saturdays... but we have been having a repetitive occurance of deciding when he is going to eat... I still havent been able to convert him to f/t, but I have got him to eating fresh killed, but that is expensive at $3.50 a rat and him not eating it and then it having to be tossed. But I just realized I havent stated the problem exactly yet. He will eat fine for 3, 4 maybe even 5 weeks straight... then all of a sudden decide he doesnt want to eat for a month or 2...

Why is he doing that, i live in florida, and his temps and humidity are both good.. Now the last time he didnt eat until he had shed... but he stopped eating 2 months before he had shed... now it has been 3 or 4 weeks since he last ate and that seems to me to be a very long time before shedding to hold of on eating. Maybe this isnt unusual but I dont like it... lol Any help on either of my problems would be much appreciated

He seems like a typical pickey eater to me . Definatley continue to try and switch him over to f/t. Maybe he just isnt hungry, but Im not sure. As long as hes not looking thin and youve checked him for parasites he should be fine.

Well Ajaxx's eyes were clouded over this morning so I am assuming he just stopped eating because of this.. but it just seems like he stops eating too soon before a shed...

In case anyone was wondering I have had him since october and this will be his 3rd shed for me and he has grown alot since I got him... when I got him the pet shop was only feeding him a mouse, i am now feeding him medium rats, just to give you an idea
