In tank food supply?

dont know if this belows in feeders or houseing or even lizards?

I was very unsuccesful with my holaspis guntheri this time around my last one passes away yesterday and I have no idea why he apeared to be doing very well.
before I try again I want to have a perfect tank all setup for them with live plants and lots of climing area.

from my time keeping them it seesm that they can become dehydrated or starved very quikly if their not catching food, and I think trying to force feed tehm would be extremly stressful and dangerous since their so small

ANYWAY what im trying to figure out is if theres a way I can keep an ever present food supply like large fruitflys or small crix in the tank for them so they can eat aytime, especialy when im not there, becuase they run and hide when they see me so there not seeing the food that im putting in.
any possabilty or should I forget it?

in anycase I will have an established planted tank setup before I try for another pair or trio

oh what gave me the idea is that I saw a continous in-tank brine shrimp hatchery for fish tanks.

As far as keeping a plentiful, and nutritionally balanced food supply in there, I doubt it. You'd still have to rely on regular feedings with supplements. However, I've managed to keep a stable population of isopods, earthworms, and have had some luck with crickets as well in my main lizard tank. Mine's set up with a deep soil substrate (about 8 in/ 20 cm). There's lots of rock formations, leaf litter, and life plants grwoing straight out from the soil. You could possibly set something similar up. There's enough organic matter and cover to keep crickets in there at all times without them attacking the lizards. They're not as healthy for the lizards, but they provide a nice snack between feedings.
