So I've always had bad luck breeding crickets. I broke down and got a large tote the other day. Cut a big hold in the top and covered with screen. I put my 1,000 crickets in with gellwater and cricket food. I also had the moist tray of cocosoil. Within a day I see tons of eggs. What now? Can I just keep them in the tote, or do I need another one? I really like this method - I advise it. It's dark and traps heat well. I don't have any heat though - it's running probably 75* in it.

well I would like to try this method however what is cocosoil? i havent ever heard of it, is it like peat or something I heard that is good to use as well. what do the eggs look like?this might sound stupid but what is a tote exactly?my aunt said it was a big sack, but that doesnt seem to fit in this sort of usage...
to answer your question I believe you are supposed to seperate the pins from the adults, but I dont know if you let the eggs hatch first or not. maybe someone else can tell you that.

A tote is just a plastic storage bin.
