I need a good place to order frozen rats

I'm finally going to try feeding my burm F/T. More and more the pet stores around where I live refuse to sell any of their rodents as feeders. That means even if I did lie, and pretend that I was going to buy the rodent as a pet, I would have to pay pet, not feeder price. I would feel better if I could order from a reputable place that produces disease free, healthy rats that will be delivered, frozen, to my door. Any suggestions???

Ssativa, you can try www.rodentpro.com. I know several people use them.

Thanks. This site seems to have pretty good deals if you are looking to buy like 100 Jumbo rats at one time. Do you happen to know how long frozen rats last?

frozen rats stay frozen while shipping b/c of the cooling packs, if the rodent is frozen and stays in the freezer it should last a month or two if freezer burn doesnt occur.

With a lot of those online companies, you order in bulk, really it makes it all better, because shipping on frozen is really what kills the pricing.

I use Big Cheese Rodent Factory and I like them very much. They are a little bit more expensive than Rodent Pro but Rodent Pro charges more for shipping so it ends up being a little less to order from Big Cheese.

My Burmese Python only eats 2 large-jumbo rats every 2 weeks. The California King only eats one mouse a week. That would mean that in one month, I can only use about 4 jumbo rats and about 4 adult mice. It seems that financially, I'm better off with live prey.

After looking at the quantity and prices for frozen rats and mice, I now wish that I could just find a rodent breeder locally. I think I mentioned before that it is getting harder and harder to find pet stores that sell feeders. Does anyone know anyone living in Broward County Florida who breeds feeder mice and/or rats?
