I use rodentpro.com and buy a six months supply at a time, as long as they are kept frozen and dry they will last with no problem. Freezer burn only really occurs when something is allowed to freeze wet. Rodentpro does an excellent job with their packaging.

I want to buy in bulk, but my little snakes will move on to bigger mice before I could use 100 hoppers, so I guess it really wouldn't pay for me to order that many until ALL my snakes are on adult mice, unless I planned to just feed them multiple hoppers until all the hoppers were gone, and I don't think I want to do that...I'd rather use larger prey items as soon as they're really ready instead of multiple smaller ones for such a long time....as it is at the moment, at the only local pet shop that sells them, I pay about 99 cents per hopper (frozen) and I think it's something like $1.29 for an adult mouse (frozen)... if I go with rodentpro, it would save me money because it would come down to each mouse only costing about 50 cents, even including shipping costs. That's a big savings.

...how can you tell if a mouse is freezerburned and what happens if a snake does eat a freezerburned one...would they regurge it or get sick from it or what..is it dangerous?
