rats vs. mice?
I keep reading how rats have more meat on them than mice, and that they are more nutritious...should I be feeding my corns and children's python rat pinkies, pups, or fuzzies or whatever is the appropriate size for them
instead of mice fuzzies for the little ones and mice adults for Spectre? What do you guys feed your snakes...rats or mice?

Rats do have more meat on them for the size. Mice are basically pretty thin and bony. IMO if the snake is big enough to feed on rats then feed em rats. However even newborn rats are a bit big for a small corn. Rat "pups" are about the size of adult mice. You just have to go by what the snake can handle.
My adult corns get ratpups as do my boa. The ball pythons get small rats. The smaller corns and kings get mouse pinkies and fuzzies and small adults. As soon as they are big enough everyone goes on rats.

Everything that Merlin said.. I would also like to add that sometimes you don't have the choice - some of our snakes for example will only eat rats while some will only eat mice! Rats do have a bit more fat on them, but mice are equally as nutritious for your snakes, you really don't need to worry about feeding them mice. If you do ever want to add extra supplementation to your snakes' diets try putting a bit of vitamin/calcium powder on the end of the food item, or putting probiotics or vitamins in their water, although this isn't necessary either.
