    Waxworms

Is there anyway we could get a How to Guide on waxworms? I have no problem on breeding them however when I have a 500 to a 1000 news ones the condensation builds up and eventually kills most of them. Anyone know how to prevent this from happening or ideas?

Improve the ventilation. How are they being housed?

I bought one of those starter kits. You are correct though there is only a small screen at the very top for ventilation.

    Re: Waxworms

If I recall correctly, they are not adept climbers.

Maybe you could replace the small screen with a larger one, or drill some holes in the container.

Or divide them so there are not so many worms in any one container.

Actually it's the complete opposite they are very good climbers. That is why you have to have a very fine screen so they cannot climb out. They use their silk web to climb up walls etc.

Interesting, I figured the moths would be harder to keep alive.

    Re: Waxworms

Ok my Waxworms have hatched I have a thousand or more pinhead size waxworms. I had a breeder block but the moths lay there eggs in the food anyhow.

Here's my question. How do you get the waxworms out of the old bedding and into new bedding without loosing most of them? Anyone else breed waxworms how do you have your set-up?
