Re: Random Thoughts and Such...
Okay cool.
I never knew what rabbits were.
I never really thought about it... they are just rabbits to me. Hah.
I definately learn something new every day on this site.
Which is awesome. x]
I wanna be one of the people that when someone asks a question, I can answer it knowing its right.
I like to know everything I can, and reptiles are something I didn't know much about until recently.
And learning stuff is very enjoyable to me. :]]
But yeah.
I don't know if I'll ever have a snake big enough to eat anything bigger than mice...
I dunno if I could do bunnies or anything, even if they were f/t.
:/

Re: Random Thoughts and Such...
Rodents are classified by incisors in the upper and lower jaws that never stop growing. Rabbits only have this in their upper incisors. Also one of the several reasons shrews are not rodents... more like bats with their dentition.

Re: Random Thoughts and Such...
AS funny as it sounds, I've always heard a Rabbit has more in common with a horse then with a rodent.
Could just be hearsay, but I think its a bit funny.

Re: Random Thoughts and Such...
To Graduation; Yes, rabbits are rodents, and have been for a long, long, time. How about someone getting some capybaras for the huge snakes that some of you have. (They are the largest rodent alive today, native to South America) The really big snakes would only have to eat once a month! How about guinea pigs. They are rodents also. Baby goats and pigs would also work quite well. A large snake will eat just about any small or baby animal it can get it's mouth around. Be creative, think way out of the circle. (I don't like the term box)

Re: Random Thoughts and Such...
To ryanpb; I stand corrected on the rabbit being a rodent. The lagomorph classification is correct. I'm trying to remember the whole order, classification, phylum, species, class thing. It's been a long time since school for me. Does the lagomorph classification take the place of rodenta, and is rodenta out of the picture when talking of rabbits. I think I'll go to Wikipedia now. Thanks again for the correction. Have a great day, and a better tomorrow. Semper fi
