This is what our member has to say: can I use crumpled up newspaper instead of carton beacuse it is alot cheaper and I can get so much more of it also wata ...

can I use crumpled up newspaper instead of carton beacuse it is alot cheaper and I can get so much more of it also wata re good veggies to put for my crickets I give em endive

I've been using newspaper for a few months now. Its a lot more sanitary IMO because it is changed so often. If you are worried about the ink(although they don't eat the paper) you can get huge rolls at the print for pennies a yard.

yea I know wat u mean ive read that if there issnt enough food or SPACE that they wil start eating each other so I will go with newspaper beacsue it gives them alot of room apaprt so they are not clamped together and its som much easier to change also wat veggies are good to use

Pretty much anything green is good. Potatoes and cucumbers work the best for me though. And leafy greens, like romaine, can be put in and sprinkled with Ca powder to get an extra nutritious gut-load.

Usually a day or two. Depends on how its holding up and if they are eating it or not.
