Thats pretty much what I got going on. Crix are territorial so if you are having troubles with that crumpled up newspaper has been working good for me, plus you can just put it in the recycling and not have to worry about having more like with the egg crates.

I'm at my parents house for the holidays. Remind me after the weekend and I'll take some shots and show you what I have going on. I really want to get it all setup and working on my back porch but don't know if that will be possible over the winter. The roomies are getting a little agravated with the chirping.

I use cricket quincher for their water source. No matter what I tried I couldn't keep the pinheads from wanting to swim even though they don't know how. The moist polyester wasn't even working, everytime I lifted the polyester it was full of dead pinheads.

For food I use the gutload from the same company that sells the cricket quincher. It works good and doens't mold like the oatmeal and oats do so it can be left in for a bit longer. So I have a cap of the crix quincher, a cap of gutload, and a petri dish with any fruit and veggie scraps I got laying around.

For egg laying medium a good potting soil seems to work best for me, moisture is the key.

I got my bottles at a show for like $3.50 a peice. If you have a link to where I could find some of the crystals let me get it please.
I leave the veggies in there for about 10 hours. Usually I eat a veggie with every meal so I just rotate them.
