I did it!
About two weeks ago, I bought a starter kit and some fruit flies. I brought them home and mixed the media, added some flies and today, I'm the proud "mama" of maggots! Many have already transformed into adult flies!
I still think it's going to take a bit of experimenting with timing in order to have enough active colonies and those in the "breeding" stage.
Winter break is almost here, and I'll be starting on the PDF viv then! I can't wait!!!

It's really not as difficult as I thought it would be... of course that is total inexperience talking. I mean, I've only made ONE new colony.
