This is what our member has to say: Unfortunately bad info seems to spread faster than accurate info. Somehow I can picture Nate doing that ritual....

Titus, that is what I wanted to know. Are mealies as nutritional as crickets for Leo's? I have been taking my mealies out the night before I feed them to her and put them in a little container with a carrot and a piece of apple and let them feed on that for 24 hours before I feed them to my leo. Right now my Leo seems very happy with half of her diet crickets and half mealies. She actually gets all excited when she sees the tongs I use to pick up the mealies. Last night she was right at the glass of the tank watching every move I made while I was getting the mealies together for her! I have also been dipping the mealies in the calcium powder right before they go into the tank too.

I just prefeed my meal worms a mix of veggies and grains then dust them with vit/calci powder before placing them in the bowl. I clean out the bowl about every three days to place fresh mealies in and toss in a few locust.
