Yea that's def. a weird situation. I keep my crickets in a large sweater box with a snap on lid and I have a hole cut out of the top of the lid and I put screen there for venelation and I get a few dead ones but I get 1000 every other week. I suppose they would die eventually!

I have switch to supers for the Bearded Dragons and they last sooooo much longer. I am waiting for a friend to send me some roaches to try out. I have gone from 8 Bearded Dragons to 1 so its not like I need to order a whole lot anymore.

Which type of roaches?

I personally suggest the following two species:

Turkistan Roach (Blatta lateralis) - Non Climber/Egg Layer - Stays small in size.
Fast little buggers, but not fast enough for Leopard Geckos :P

Discoids (Blaberus discoidales) - Non Climber/Live Bearer - Good for large critters or feed off the babies.
Overall slow buggers

So far every critter I have had (that eats bugs) loved these 2 species.

Hijackers!!!

You should move or carry over the roach conversation so others seeking the same info are more likely to find it vs. finding it buried here in a thread about dieing crickets, Personally I believe it to be residual insecticide (prov-a-mite).

Why roaches? Isopods (which I'm looking for a mass distributer, aside from ordering more tree fern panels, got a few hundred hitch hikers that way, roaches too.) have calcium based shells (no more calcium supplements

If they search correctly on the site, they will find the info no matter where it is

Awe venus, as "perfect world" as that is, I know from experience that that search sometimes just wont give up the information your need even when you know it's there.
