I have a feeling that unless someone has an iguana they probably won't appreciate the new home I designed. It's not finished, but it will be soon...

I could have done it in nearly any color, but I wanted it to be black. There has been some discussion about printed or painted backgrounds, but for the moment it'll probably stay black.

The floor will be white.

What made you decide on black?

It's just me... My world is mostly black and white by choice... I also lack any artistic skill, and I noticed that both black and white seem to be non-clashing colors.

I guess it does make the enclosure much more ominous.

Fair enough. (you're probably more skilled than you realize, btw)

Thanks. Some claim I am, but few ever see my works, let alone appreciate them.

As a bit of an after-thought, the color is probably for the best. It makes it harder for him to see a reflection of himself unless he's very close to the acrylic. One of the design requirements I decided on was avoiding reflections wherever possible, which is why I went with only two clear sides rather than three. No reflective materials are on opposite sides of the enclosure to avoid him seeing multiple reflections of himself (I've seen this inside aquariums). I am hopeful that this will decrease his stress level so he will become comfortable with his new home more quickly.
