    Question Plants

I have been trying to find some information on live plants for an eastern collared lizard and keep coming up blank.
The ones that came with the habitat just look cheesy (fake plants usually do) but I dont want to get anything that could be harmful to him.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Lisa

    Re: Plants

I would say that the Yucca plant would be good, as well as succulents, plants that don't mind extreme temperature and dry conditions!

I would keep plants in pots to keep the humidity down, and also make sure that the plants are edible because they will try to eat them.

    Here is a link of safe plants;

    Re: Plants

An issue I've always had is how to plant them.
How do you plan to do this?
A substrate or keep them in pots?

    Re: Plants

Since the plants will have to be desert species it would be advisable to keep them in pots.
You will be looking mainly at thornless cactus and succulents.

    Is this the plant?

Sago Palm : This Plant Will Kill Your Dog (and maybe your kids)
If so, I would remove this plant from the enclosure and keep it away from all pet and children!

    Re: Plants

Bonsai plants are not a type of plant. Only a method of growing.
Bonsai, literally translated, is "tree in a pot". To state to someone that all bonsai plants are safe is ludicrous!
