Ctenosaura Similis hydration question

Hi, is it true that Ctenosaura similis cannot see still water? That the water has to be dynamic and running for him to know to drink from it? I just have a still water bowl in there. He soaks in it by himself, but I don't know if he will drink from it.

I am pretty convinced (though I haven't seen it) now that he's eating, as he's gaining some thickness and his colors are becomeing brighter and he's even started to shed. However, when I pinch the side skin, it stays instead of bouncing right back.

Hello,

If the water needs to move, use an air hose without the air stone. That will cause the water to bubble.

Never heard that before Anthony.

My Cteno drinks from the (static) water bowl almost daily.
