Re: Some New Pics
I bet those high heels of hers did just great in that muddy ground
Looks like you will need some filtration in there. Nice amount of algae starting to grow. And nice modification of the wall! I bet those poles will keep it from "falling" over again.

That's a fact. I have the filters. It's the set up that's giving us some pause. We'll get in there and take care of it soon.

We stuck t-posts in every 5th hole or so and a few bags of sakrete in them and others to hold it for now. When it's not 104 degrees out we'll pull the whole thing down and start from the bottom and clean it up and then reinforce it the same way, if not better.
And thanks for all the encouragement. Sometimes, you just think, "Why bother?" Until you hear some favorable comments.

Re: Some New Pics
Great job! Looks fantastic and more sturdy! Liz, I was thinking the same thing about the heels when I saw the pic, lol.

Re: Some New Pics
I was thinking that was a lot of work the first time around. But glad to see you got things functional again.

Re: Some New Pics
Caimanhunter, do you stock that pond with fish, etc, or is it only the caimans in there?
Just curious.
Oh yeah, so what did the reporter do? Interview you about the enclosure in general or the "accident"?

Re: Some New Pics
Was the original wall not mortared together when they fell down? I hope everything stays in now though.
News lady looks good though lol.

No fish. I feed them once a week, about a pound of raw meet each, although I can't really tell if they each get a fair share!
The reporter did an interview and it was on Fox News 7 on July 13th.

Nope. No mud. Just 6000 pounds of block. Live and learn. Next week we'll take another look and see if it can all be strengthened up and fortified.
Nancy Zambrano - Very cute in heels in the mud!
