Small World

Something kind of silly....Pumpkin Jack....flighty fleeing Pumpkin Jack...who never comes out on his own to see anyone...will come stretching his head and neck partway out of his hide and tongue flick at me if I sing Disney's "It's a Small World" in a ridiculously high silly voice. Guess he can pick up that sound range better than any other? I thought it was just coincidence that he came out when I sang it initially, but, Heh ...it's too funny....he's done it several times since the first time.

LMAO! HAHA that is too cute. My BD loves it when I sing songs from the musical "the phantom of the opera" she runs down from her basking branch and taps on the glass to see me. It's the sweetest thing.

LOL,that sounds great! I just love musicals, and you seem to have very musical pets, lol!
Well.it's not the thread, but "Phantom" was here in Switzerland, too,in my hometown.I don't often meet musical lovers.Juliane and Adam, what are your favourites?Mine is "EFX" which is running in Las Vegas and I was working on it.I'd done the main actor on that show, which was Michael Crawford, who also was the very first Phantom!

Thanks for bringing back nice memories!Adam,I bet you are pretty good at singing !

Haha...

Why were you singing that song in the first place?? LOL......

My Bearded Dragon likes it when I sing songs from like disney cartoons, like "part of that world" and stuff like that. If I'm holding her she'll run up on my should while I sing em. But....I have a good reason to sing them....

I was singing that particular song especially to annoy my 11 year old son. Works quite well! Jack's interest in it was just an added bonus. Heehee. I tried some other songs too last night with Jack, and as long as I sing in that ridiculous high voice, he comes out to see me no matter what the song is. Very cool.

Jacky, my favorite musical in the whole world is "Fiddler on the Roof". I love a lot of musicals though, from classic ones like "South Pacific" or "Sound of Music" to Disney ones like "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" or "Bedknobs and Broomsticks".

Well I am glad that other people sing to annoy their son! My son now knows if he does not get up after the first time I tell him, it's the Wakie Wakie song! He is 5 and was acting up in a store, no threats were working until I told him I would sing to him in the middle of the store. He was perfect after that! The pets however don't seem to care one way or the other.

Juliane at least you weren't dressed in a Micky Mouse costume and dancing around the room!

Merlin, that would have done more than annoy my son, he'd probably have suffered permanent psychological trauma to see me dancing around his room in a Mickey Mouse costume singing the song he hates the most!
