I also disagree Pcar - with something large like a boa then the digestive system becomes much slower and adults should be fed less often, but adult corns can be fed every 7 days. They can easily go for up to two weeks but we feed ours one large mouse every week. Their digestive systems are quicker than boids and they can handle more regular feeds. It's also healthier for them to be fed smaller food items more often.

OK, to each his own. I do increase my feedings for my adults during the mating season, and after the females have laid eggs, but other than that, I feed all my adults 2 adult mice every 2 weeks. Never seen a problem with this.

Yes we also increase feedings for breeding and post-gravid females,. right now we are feeding our female corns, who have just laid eggs, every 4-5 days if they will take it, just to get them back up to a good weight and to replace lost nutrients, not to have them breed again this year you understand.

What are you takes on double clutching? I have never done this, but I know a lot of people that do, and I like to hear opinions on it.

I don't like to see double clutching as I feel it places too much stress on the female. However it is possible for the female to retain sperm and double clutch without re-breeding (i know as this just happened to our female)

I honestly don't think it matters if you are feeding 1 mouse every week, or 2 mice every 2 weeks to an adult...the amount of food going into the snake is the same.
The important thing is that you shouldn't be feeding much more or less than this, if you aren't breeding or brumating the snakes.

Winged wolf,
I disagree, it is more food in one sitting to digest. Just my opinion...

Corn snakes appear to be perfectly healthy on either feeding regimen--it's personal preference as to which you feel is better.
Your reasoning is sound, but there's no real evidence that corns fed every 2 weeks don't do as well.

Well, I think it matters little either way. As said before, it is a personal preference....
