A different snake!

Jack's a new snake! Could the fact that he and Sally were together have been stressing him out and making him nervous, even though they didn't seem to mind each other and were often even twined together??? After being without her just yesterday evening, night and this morning, he seems like a new boy! I cleaned his enclosure a little while ago, and then picked him up to give him some handling time...he didn't struggle to get away like he usually does, he didn't try to leap out of my hands, and in fact, he didn't even flinch at my touch! I won't say he seemed totally relaxed, but what an improvement!!! Usually when I'm holding him, he'll flinch when his skin touches mine when he moves from hand to hand, but today he snugged close to my hands and really seemed to more than half-way enjoy himself as we went to see the fishies and the bunny and the pictures on the walls. I'm totally amazed! I can finally see the potential for him to become a beautifully mellow snake! Forgive me for going on and on, but I just can't believe it!!!

thats awesome to hear. i'm sure as you keep handling him he will mellow out and enjoy being around you. Blizzard likes to sit wrapped up in his towel on my bed. some times he pokes around to see whats going on but for the most part he likes to stay there and hang out.

My 2 corns were stressing out being together. The bigger one is REALLY mellow now and the little one has an attitude! LOL
Be thankful!
