Merlin,,,the substrate was given to KJ by Mike at the Zoo, I believe he said it was coconut bark ?? I could be wrong on that. He said it was a good "breeding" bedding, though to be honest I've never heard the term. I will find out and let you know. I personally wanted to stay with paper towels, but Mike is the herpotologist and his word is golden to KJ.
