Am I doing this right?

Alright, as some of you know I am getting a baby hypo corn snake. I am going to tell you everythhing my tank has atm and all of that stuff. I am asking you if this is good enough, or if I could do better. Especially tell me if I am wrong and am doing something dangerous,

The baby hypo is 12-14 inches, receiving him on This tuesday morning... (or this morning)

I am housing him in a 10 gallon tank for awhile and here is everything:
Temps:80 on warm side, cool side 68 I believe...
Humidity: 50
Substrate: Aspen bedding and litter- LABEL: (non aromatic oils) Made by kaytee
Food: One 1 week old pinky mouse a week in a seperate feeding bin.
Decor: Some plastic leaves on a stem for climbing
Water: one small water dish full enough to full submerge itselt, with out risking drowning.
Hides: one small log hide on warm side, and medium on cool side.
Screen top: A tight fitting and secure metal screen mesh with an opening hatch for reaching in the middle of the tank.

Please tell me if I am doing anything wrong or should add someting to this list.

EDIT: I actually have another question. If the overall temp in the air on the warm side is 80, can I add a Under Tank Heater on half or on a third of the warm side? The beddings is about 2 inches high.

Soudns like you have everything set up perfectly. Only thing I would advise is to increase temps slightly - warm side 85f, cool side 70-75f. You can add a Under Tank Heater to the back or underneath of the tank, but if underneath, make the substrate a little less deep, so that the heat can get through.

Good luck with your new corn, and post pics when you get him!

Sounds like you have a pretty good handle on it!
One thing about the top, make sure it is secure enough that it can't be pushed up enough for the snake to escape. These guys are real escape artists particularly when small!
A trick I use is to put velcro on the corners. run a strip of the prickly side on the tank and the top. Then you can run the soft side of the velcro from the top strip, over the edge and hook it on the velcro that is attached to the tank.

I have received my corn and it looks pretty cool and healthy! After hearing lllreptile keeps their snakes both cb and wc in bad conditions I was quite afraid. I am quite happy with my order. I'll keep everyone updated on how he/she does.

Pics are to come, well I can't promise a time anymore...

Good news! My corn ate a f/t pinky mouse! he didn't even have to settle for 4 hours. I set him in the feeding bin, waited for about a minute and a half and he started by chomping down on the back legs and swallowed it butt first. I'm so proud and happy!

As all of you know, I support lllreptile and recommend the buying of all cb animals from them! ... Sorry, just so happy and relieved!

Jrobinson, I believe I had read your reply already. I'll check.

Everything is good accept for the temp. On the warm side make it 85 with a basking spot of 88-90. Let the cool side be like 75-78. I would add a Under Tank Heater on the warm side to increase temps a bit. Make sure you get something to control the temp though. Everything else looks good. Good luck and I can't wait to see some pics!
Congrats on the f/t, my king will only eat live.
