Could be that he is still hungry. If you feel the prey size is correct and you do not want to overfeed you could use a snakehook to remove him.

Maybe your hands have the smell of the meal on them still. So he's confusing your hands with a second serving. Try washing your hands after the meal has been offered.

Trick

Here's a cheap and easy trick to avoid getting bitten anytime you reach into your feeding tub, or terrarium. Take a handkerchief or any light piece of cloth or Kleenex and drop it lightly over your snakes head, then reach down and pick him up, then take the handkerchief off.
This way the snake can feel your hand before he sees something warm moving around in front of him. It's worked everytime with Talyn.

An even simpler methid is to pick him up before he has completely swallowed the mouse. If everything but say the very tail end is down just pick him up and move him. With his mouth full he can't bite you. I routinely do this with all my snakes and have never had a problem. If he is nervous about you however he may spit the mouse back out. You might give it a try.

I have a anery corn what does exactly the same thing, she always rattles her tail and hisses at me, then strikes, I have started to handle her more now, cause she was doing it even when it wasnt feeding day, she is getting calmer, and is very grumpy just after her mouse has gone down, I use a snake hook sometimes depending what mood she is in
