Well after the power outage we had and finding the cornsnake eggs left at a temp of only 7C (for how long I have no idea.) This little guy hatched out on tuesday the only one out of 15 eggs. I'm surprised he made it with how cold the eggs got. He's a nippy little fellow but I guess it's that attitude that got him this far. He looks like he'll be shedding soon and then we'll see how the first meal goes. He's from our Carmel x Amel. stripe pairring.

Sorry to hear about the other babies, but he looks pretty good. I think if he has that attitude he should be alright. If you get a chance, take pics after his shed so we can see the brighter colors.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm really glad he made it too. In a way it's just bad luck that my incubator was set for cooling as it had been so hot here during that time. When the power went out it went to the default of 0C. I won't be setting it for cooling ever again no matter how hot it's getting. I'm not too worried about him being nippy he'll grow out of it or not. He's staying with us anyway and will be one of our breeding males in a few years. Plus I have no problem with nippy snakes though my lavender corn is the worst he thinks he's a viper he's even short and fat like one. I'll make sure to keep you all updated on how the young ones doing. With some pictures when the true colors come in.
