Is there a difference between them as far as temperment or aggression?

I have snakes of both sexes and I see no difference in temperment or aggression.

there really is no difference in temperment or aggression but personally I think cornsnakes are fairly easy to sex by thier tails. the females tapers very quickly after the vent and is not very thick, it is very noticable. males don't taper much at all and their tail is thick after the vent. the males tails are also longer. I do probe or pop all my snakes but the baby cornsnakes I usually don't have to.

No not really, some of my older males tend to get a little nervous around breeding time but not aggressive. Cornsnakes are pretty much the same as far as attitude between the sexes. Sexing by the tail is about 50% sure even as adult. Some females just have the build of males. Probing is still the best method though not even it's not 100% sure. As males can sometimes be probed as females, it's best to probe a snake twice to be sure.
