Red Did Shed

My wife came home last night and found "Red" with his brand new skin.

He shed perfect and that was a relief. When ever we get a snake in for re home 9 out of 10 times they're not eating or their shedding is awful. So with a lot of patience, f/t rodents and warm baths they all come out fine in the end.

Anyway, back to 'Red", our adult blood red corn snake.

In the episode before we left "Red" soaking in his warm bath preparing to shed his old skin.

I'll post the photo of him soaking and in pre-shed and then a couple of new photo's of him after his shed and let you decide.

Personally I don't see much difference, but my wife does.

Pre-Shed Photo (All photos are not enhanced):

And now the "Red" and his new skin; featuring "Red" as himself:

Re: Red Did Shed

This snake had an awsome color before he had shed and know that he has shed he looks even better, such a beautiful snake. I want some type of large boa, like a green anaconda, when I get a house of my own, but I am going to start out with something alot smaller first and this guy shows me just how magnificent the littler snakes can be Good pics by the way.

Re: Red Did Shed

Thank You for all the nice comments. My wife usually takes the photo's because I shake a little holding the camera sometimes.

I did however take the shot of his belly. I get lucky sometimes.

Most of my photos I use a tripod.

One day I would love to get a 35mm slr digital that can download straight to my computer.
