I've had macs for a long time. I had a G4 eMac until it died, and now I have this iMac G5. Definitely the best computer ever. I wouldn't ever go back to a PC unless it was JUST for gaming. Even then, it would be an auxiliary machine, and I would use my mac for everything else. I have NEVER gotten a virus, and if there was crash, it was the program not the computer. Anyway, Once you turn mac you never go back.

I will never go mac. Hate to say it but you pay for a over price pile of crap lol. I know a few people that do tech support for them and have never heard of your hard drive or os just going bye bye one day from hard restarts. The total fact that it is not user friendly. Apples invasive way they installed programs on PCs that had Itunes. Not good for a company to just install something with out me knowing. The no virus thing, oh well. You only get viruses if you are dumb on the internet. I've know people to not use anti virus on win xp and have no problems. The no virus thing is replaced by the fact that the os is crap and a total pain to use. Nothing is simple in a Mac. Also not to mention no good games.

Only plus side is movie making. BUT you could do the same on a pc if you bought the right stuff for half the cost of what apple wants.

I have to say there's no way I would go back to a PC. I use a PC at work and have a Mac at home.
The funny thing is all the Apple commercials are dead on, all true stories.lol
My PC laptop at work is a beefed up Dell. Supposedly one of the better more reliable brands. I was severely disappointed when I first got it. Expecting it to be fast. Not even close.
The only thing I didn't like when I got my Apple was that they are making them in China somewhere now. That would be why the price is coming down.

Funny how even my friends at apple care dislike the macs and say that the price they charge for parts is way to much.

I've used and owned both. I like both. However, I made a choice years ago to stick with PCs. But only because both places I've worked in the past 10 years have been primarily PC. It's just easier to have access to the same programs because I'll occasionally work from home.

These days I work for the California State University system, and many of our faculty use Macs... my previous experience allows me to effectively help them when they need a hand.
