has anyone else been infected by this???? it is a trojan/malware that sends messages to everyone on ur list asking them to download pictures .....it is a very realistic message that is sent and is fooling alot of ppl

i have run more antivirus programs than u can shake a stick at and a ton of spyware programs as well and it keeps coming back


has anyone run into this before and if so how did u get rid of it ??????

i was using norton when the virus first popped up.......since then I have tried AVG,Nod32,kaspersky and am currently using AVAST...i also tried housecall which is a web based scan by micro trend


i alswo tried registry mechanic,ad aware, windows defender

all of these will find and delete problems but never for very long!!!
i have read up on it and have found that there is a file SOMEWHERE that will regenerate even after deleting it, which connects to the internet and redownloads the virus/malware

i have updated all my software and did many scans in safe mode with no success

i have just recently dowwnloaded a program called HijackThis also by micro trend but cannot yet decifer between Good programs and Bad

thank god I own a mac.

Do you have backups of all the software you use? If you've run all those anti-virus programs, there might not be much more that you can do except format the drive and re-install everything.

I've had to do that on the family PC more than once. I'm with Liz. My macs are good for me, but my family has a little PC that gets viruses every other week. (My brother's fault. He likes to go to upload/download anything sites, which are breeding grounds for viruses.)

If you have all your software handy, it should only take a couple of hours to get everything done, and your computer should then be nice and clean for awhile.

i have thought about that but if all these virus programs are so **** useless what is to say it wont happen again!!!!

i am trying to learn how to fix the problems opposed to avoiding them by reinstalling windows which I have done a few times now

there has to be a way to protect against these losers who have nothing but spare time to create these viruses and spread them!!!!

never the less I think I got rid of it lastnifght at about 4AM after about 6 hours of combing the windows folder!!!!!

there were at least 8 files associated with the virus that I found and hopefully no more!!!!

i am just so ****ed that we spend all this money oin antivirus software and it is **** near useless. gives you piece of mind but no real protection!!!!!

Yep. The problem is that they can't keep up. The software you bought yesterday can't fight the brand new virus that just surfaced today. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot you can do about it. The viruses will probably be back eventually. It may take just being absolutely extra careful what sites you visit and what attachments you open for a little while.
